I could spend days looking at maps, reading the labels and imagining what's on the ground. Perhaps it's the nerdy urban planner in me, but to me amazing maps can be just as satisfying as beautiful artwork - maybe even more so! I particularly like antique world maps, where the shapes of the continents are a little off, and the place names are different. Ceylon, Persia, Abyssinia, Constantinople and Saigon are just a few of the place names I wish were still used. Can't wait to decorate the walls of my house in oversized maps or world map wall paper!
